Our annual Laura Contest is designed to encourage girls (ages 8 through 11) to compete for the honor and recognition of being most closely identified with Laura Ingalls Wilder.

While not a look-alike contest, girls are required to dress in “prairie girl” attire (of the period 1867-1875) and are asked questions related to Laura’s first two books. They are judged on the basis of the accuracy of their answers, poise under various conditions, and their general appearance.

Online registration for the Laura Contest is not available at this time. Please click the download link to the right for a printable copy of the 2014 rules and how to register at the Laura Days 2014 event.
